Test run after my fuel pump replacement turned into a scene from a horror flick. I got t-boned!!! Bike is totalled, and my right leg got crushed. Surgery went well, and we will have to wait and see if I will lose my foot. So good news is I'll probably have some parts for sale:)

So, to answer a couple questions, New pump worked great... did a throttle point reset and it was running smooth... not that it matters now. Douche bag pulled out through a string of traffic that was stopped for a light. I don't think he could have hit me any more square! No I did not have "reinforced riding boots" but that wouldn't have saved anything cuz from the knee down was crushed. I'm pretty sure the bike is done for which makes me mad, but then again now I can get a newer model with the freedom engine! I guess I have more surgeries to look forward to... ugh. Thanks for the support guys!!

There are always more bikes out there. There is only one of you. Hang in there. I hope for the best for sure. You can make the next bike even better than the one you had.

Here's to a speedy recovery from the old f@rt. One thing that will do that for ya is asking your surgeon to put you on the Portland Protocol post op. Had my chest cracked open and was off of pain meds in 5 days - it works that well.

Get yourself one of those attorneys who advertises on phone book covers and sic 'em good. Whatever you do, don't settle fast, drag it way out. You don't know what your ultimate outcome is going to be, so don't sign off on a settlement until you are completely healed and whole. That could take years. Be very assertive but polite with claims agents, don't try to play Mr. Nice Guy - they'll eat you alive if they detect any softness on your part.

Keep us posted, we're with you on this.

Man that sucks big time. You seem to have a good attitude about it right now. Don't know if it's the pain meds or your nature temperament but it's good either way.

Bikes can be fixed or replaced. Body parts; not so much. If you smoke; quit while your leg is healing. It can make the difference between keeping or losing your foot.

Let us know if there's something we can do...
