Hi was wondering 2007 hammer trying to get a throttle body adapter part 1203277 dealer says its unavailable and he said he would call polaris he said they told him the same thing. Also inbetween the throttle body and the air box is a black gasket and they dont show that on the parts breakdown on a 2007 hammer is that gasket not needed? So i now i cant replace the adapter cause i cant find one.Victory get your **** together. You arent building a good customer base providing this kind of service

The squeaky wheel gets the grease. This throttle body deal is coming to a head, but we need more people complaining LOUDLY to Victory. They still seem to think it is o.k.that a critical part like this can be backordered indefinitely. They don't seem to know that when a simple $70 part breaks that the bike is unridable. Please call and complain so we can start getting bikes back on the road!

IMHO replacement part availability is Victory's worst problem.

when you dearler says sorry i can help you what are you suppose to do.I ride both usa made bikes and like both bikes but i will say one thing harley dealer has never once said i cant get that part.I will call polaris but i am sure if the dealer is getting the run around i am not going to get anything more

Well, I don't have a bike that is down, otherwise I would, but I would start with e-mails to corporate. Then messages on their Facebook page. Maybe start on on-line petition. A snail mail to any and all departments of corporate. Do that daily for a month or so and something WILL eventually happen (maybe a restraining order, LOL). Like I said, squeaky wheel. Be creative and maybe someone at Victory will get the message "maybe we should make common wear parts available for 5 year old bikes!"

I sent 2 emails already have not had a reponse next will be a call but i dont really want as i am not to happy right now and i think the call will go bad fast lol.I will wait a few days to see if i get an email back.If i cant get the part i will have to see if i can fix it some how.I still dont understand about that gasket between the airbox and throttle body why isnt there in the parts brake down for the fuel assembly for 2007 hammer.Dont get me wrong love the bike but this sucks!

That has been discussed. Nothing has happened yet though.

Also as a warning: Victory subs this number to another which is the wrong part. Dont order this part! It is wrong. The correct part has been backordered for many weeks now and you'll be lucky to find one left in stock.

polaris emailed me said it is avaliable but dealer said he he can order it when he tries it wont let him so called Vic and they said they didnt know it could not be ordered which sounds like a load of bull. They said the called the supplier and trying to figure out the problem.Vic also told me in the email did my dealer used the national parts finder the checks other dealers to see if they have the parts so i asked my dealer he said he has been in parts for 4 years and thats the first he has heard of national parts finder. So anyone looking for throttle body adapter might be a long wait.My dealer said when they hear back from polaris he will let me know but i am not hold my breath lol.

What would be the major concern or risk of using some RTV or silicone sealant spread over the area that is cracked? My Hammer spent its first 5 years (and barely 1000 miles a year) in covered but open parking (not a sealed garage) so the throttle boddy appears to have a little dry rot with some very thin cracks near the top, but I have no issues or problems at all in starting/idle/acceleration/etc. I cleaned the carbon out about 800 miles ago while the tank was off for painting.

Are they completely separating beyond a simple repair? Or is even a small crack in the rubber giving people problems? I'm getting nervous of having an issue based on comments with extended downtime and am thinking a little smear of silicone sealant around the hairline cracks area may provide extended life. Opinions?

Well some guys have used silicone but the problem is that these are rotting and getting cracks so to me its a design flaw but never the less if victory doesnt want to do anything about it atleast have the parts available so the guys that want to replace them can.I guess i am the only one who wants to get this part because polaris dosent know there is a stocking problem.keep up the good customer support lol.
