Which is a better way to go the link or seat. Also if you go with the link do you need the shorter kickstand. I had a Yamaha RSV before lowered and do a lot of 2 up riding. It wasn't bad but would bottom from time to time but it may have been due to the great NYS Southern Tier roads. Thanks

no pun intended But back in school (70 s) Kiss was big and one of my friends always wore these to school. If you had a pair of these you would not have to lower it.

bring back some memories here..lol:ltr:
My advice is to try everything else except lowering the bike if you do a lot of two up riding. I've lowered bikes before just to have clearance problems, so the last couple of bikes I've modified seats and even bought a pair of boots with thicker soles which worked like a champ. I ride 2 up at leat 80% of the time and I don't like scraping the pipes.
Everyone has their own experience. I keep remembering a statement in Ride Like A Pro. Jerry says to try to make the bike fit you without lowering. It makes sense to me. Personally I don't like messing with the center of gravity. I have the low heated seat and have been very happy. I have ridden 600 mile plus days with no comfort issues. The low seat moves you forward a bit and drops about an inch. I am 5'4".
One (of many) Incentives for me to get a Victory was the Seat Height, was nice to flatfoot a Touring Bike bone stock .. Think Lowering Bike should the last option as been down this road a lot ..
Im 6'3" and stand flat footed with my xc, but it sits to high for my liking, I would like to go down at least 1" and get a lowered seat, but the lowered seats move the rider forward which I do not want.
Does the lowered heated seat move you forward compared to the stock heated seat ? In the descriptions they say the heated seat will move you forward compared to a
Non-heated seat, but they don't say the lowered heated seat moves you forward compared to the stock heated seat. At least thats what i've read.
Also, does the passenger seat stay the same, or is it lowered too ?
