Dernel just recently bought a 2011 CrossRoads. Glad to see your enjoying your new bike. You got plenty of open space to enjoy it down under. Live in the desert in the S.W. United States so I am sure it's about the same climate. Enjoy the new ride and be safe watch out for those very large jackrabbits down there,ha,ha.thumb up

As you know it is winter here. It has been raining the past couple of days. Pretty much all day today and it is raining tonight also. We don't get that much rain here usually, but we are getting plenty right now. Man I would hate to live were it rains 300 days a year! Only got about 1000 miles on my bike so far, diffidently a very nice ride. Take care and have a great holiday season Christmas/Chanukah, etc. thumb up

I am from Ballarat, Victoria and have a 2010 vision tour. thought I should add to the post with at least another Australian. It is a very good forum with lots of valuable information. Just being on the forum brings out the urge to ride.

Just curious what mods to the engine/fuel systems you Aussies might be doing to your Victories? Maybe you have came up with some better ideas than us Americans. I know you all had some very good mods for my Triumph. I recently bought a 2011 XR. thumb up

Hi Speedblue,

I have done no engine or fuel mods, and have not come across anyone else as yet who has undertaken any changes to their bikes.

One thing we all do here is run 98% octane Petrol, which is available from our 3 big ones, BP, Caltex and Shell.

Minimal popping, although i believe the bikes run quite lean, and i met a guy the other wek who had clocked up 35,000KM with no problems whatsover.

regards,

Derekthumb up

Another Aussie here... Brissy.

I have a '12 Jackpot I started riding about 8 weeks ago, have 4000k already.

Love the thing to death and ride most days.

Mods are mainly cosmetic.

Stage 1 pipes, free flow air filter, ECU flash. Ness diamond cut pegs front and rear, Ness mirrors, Ness flamed Derby cover, Ness flamed primary cover, Starter motor cover in polish, Retifier cover in polish, Finned Cam Tensioner covers, Lyndall Carbon Fibre brake pads.

Hi Blumntman

I'm also a Highball rider in the Blue Mountains (Lawson). Can you tell me where you went for your after market rear shock - I'd like to upgrade mine but no clue where to go?

Highball is great (though mine is being repaired at the moment following an an accident on the M2) - get it back next week and can't wait.

2013 Judge rider here on Sydney's northern beaches.
I believe I might have the only Victory Judge north of the harbour bridge!

My bike is stock, I enjoy the ride, am taking it to Phillip Island for the MotoGP later this month via the Victorian high country which, needless to say, I am looking forward to.

Shocks

Try this company out of the UK I have gotten shocks from them in the USA here and I was very pleased with them for my Triumph. It's worth a shot, I believe they make shocks for just about all the bikes. They do it to your weight and type of riding you like also.....http://www.hagon-shocks.co.uk/ Hopefully they can help you out. Let us know if you give them a shot and how you like the shock if you have them build you one.thumb up

I think you'll find there's not a lot of us Aussies left on here
They come and go, mostly go.
For whatever reason......
Look at the dates of those past posts, most aren't still here, or if they are they're out riding,
Which is what I'm about to do,
Victory riders can be a strange bunch.
How the hell do you cope with living in Sydney?
I got outta there in '82
