I will post up pictures tonight.

Like the title says, its my 2012 Hammer 8-Ball. I love this bike. Only thing I would change is the seat.

It has 2,100 miles and may have a few more. Due to my fear of riding as of late I feel that perhaps it is best if I get rid of the bike. I have been riding it and plan to put a few miles on it here or there but the bike mostly sits in the garage and this bike was made to be ridden. The other item is that I may end up moving this fall and though I could take the bike with me I would rather not.

The bikes is as it was when it left the showroom floor other than the tires have minimal wear. No burn outs or anything like that and no flat spots.

My only addition is the Victory Tach and bezel to house the tach and factory speedo. At 500 miles the dealership changed the oil and went over the entire bike to make sure nothing had come loose and that everything was in proper working conidition.

I am pricing the bike at $13,250. Not sure if that is too steep or not but if someone would PM me I would be willing to listen.

Its a great bike, it really is. I am also in to cars and this hobby sits at times.

Thanks for looking and pictures will be up soon.

Bike is still for sale. Havent been on it in close to 2 months.

I thought it was my back that was hurting but it is not the case as I have clusters of kidney stones. About a month ago I went and had X-rays and a CT Scan and it showed that I had quite a few in my left kidney.

I moved the bike from one garage to the other with the Corvettes.

Would like to get 12.5k if I can. The bike is like new and other than some bugs on it the thing is perfect.

I got it out and washed it and took it on two short rides of about 50 miles total. The bike runs perfect, zero issues at all.

However, I do feel it is best for me to sell it. After modding my Corvette the bike just feels slow in comparison. The other thing is for me I cant keep my hands off things and I really cant see modding a bike I wont get to ride much. My job has gotten even more busy and I am spending time and various plants so that leaves little time to ride.

I am open to offers as I am not upside-down on the bike. Also, I will help with delivery if possible.

The miles will change as I will continue to ride the bike here and there when I have time.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I guess I have to. The best way to find out what the current market will bear is to do an ebay search of sold items similar to what you might be selling. I did a search for Victory Hammer's and hopefully this link will work.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/Motorcycles...p=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=50&rt=nc&_nkw=Victory+Hammer

Something to think about is we lose around $2k just driving off the lot. Figure at least $1k-$2k devaluation per year and you can get in the neighborhood of what the bike is worth today. Mind you, not what it's worth to you per se, but what the market will give you for it.

You sound like a successful person who understands value and money so I'm sure you will understand this; even if it isn't something you want to hear. It might be better to take it with you to FL. There's some great riding down there if you get the time. You would probably get less in FL than where you are now though.

If it were a regular Hammer rather than the 8 Ball model; you could probably get $10,500 for it.

For what it's worth; I've lost a lot more than what you might lose in the sale of this bike to get what I 'really' wanted over the years. More than once actually. Plus the Winter time is a buyers market. If you want to get top dollar; post it for sale in the Spring just as the weather warms up and you start seeing bikes on the road in your area. That's when the motorcycle fever hits the hardest. :D cheers

Bob, thanks for the kind words. I realize there is depreciation but for someone to bring up trade is well, insulting. I have been offered a thousand more than that number for a trade on a new bike. And to shut up people it was for a left over GSXR 1000 that they have the price set at 9k on. Yes, they go that cheap if you shop around.

I actually already took it to Florida and have been riding it. :) Its a great bike and I really enjoy it but not sure how much riding I will end up doing. Most likely if I keep it I will just add a sport bike to the mix.

If I dont keep it I will probably trade it in towards another toy of some kind.

Ride safe, everyone. :)

One thing to remember when trading it in to a 'greedy dealer'. The amount given for trade in is deducted from the amount being taxed so there is an hidden discount there. Also, if this is a dealer you like and want to support, he needs to keep his doors open by making a profit here and there.

I traded in a semi-custom HD a few years ago to get my XC and only got $6500 for it. The dealer went over it, detailed it, and soon sold it for $7500. It was really worth more and he could have priced it higher but wanted to get it off his Victory lot so he priced it lower. It went to a friend of the head of the service dept and was extremely happy to get the bike.

In retrospect; I should have found another way to finance the XC and kept that bike but you know hindsight is. cheers

bought-stole

got a 13 hammer from a harley dealer 8xx miles and basically NEW, had a Cobra kit- pipe, filter + download, $9500 + tax, sad to say selling privately especially in a rush is not easy. former owner downgraded to a LOADED harley bagger for a softer ride he said, shoulda bought a VIC bagger IMO

I am sorry but I have to laugh when someone says they would sell a bike for what they would get trade. That is throwing a lot of money down the drain. The purchase of something is for me, not to give someone else a good deal to take money out of my own pocket. This weeka nd next will decide what I do with the bike. Very close to trading it in on a left over Busa instead as they are willing to give me more trade on that and discount the Busa by $2,400.

Thank you all for your input.cheers The Vic just doesnt do it for me in terms of power. Yes, I know they can be made fast but everything and anything can be.

Ride safe, everyone! If I couldnt sell it outright for $9,500 I wouldnt sell it as that is what I would be getting with the trade and the tax savings.

Although I do miss the handling and all out screamer of an engine in my sport bikes, it was time for me to move on after spending life on one wheel and my daily attempts to break the sound barrier (I know they couldn't, but I damned well tried, lol) I just knew that it would catch up to me sooner or later. My wife and kids need me around (sometimes) so the move was necessary, but man do I miss that 16 500rpm redline sometimes ....

My thought exactly.....I always had sportbikes and I had made it this far doing stupid aggresive riding but figured my kids need me around so I gave it up and bought my Hammer. No complaints at all but I am still an adrenaline junkie and will probably add a sportbike to my garage again.

Once again , WOW ! We should all invest in a centralized Octagon , fully caged in , where members can meet to settle their differences face to face . We could supply pizza and beer , and other snacks , whilst we watch our biker brethren demolish one another in the cage . I nominate CrossRoads to be the referee . :ltr:wac
