freedom performance true duel exhaust for cc. talked to ben franklin about the new pipes. not on their web site yet but is 5 stepped header sym. starts at 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 to 2in then at muffler 2 1/2 to 3 in at baffle. no numbers yet to release. front cyl pipe down right side, back cyl down left side-no crossover under the bike. looks like were starting to get some full exhaust. he said they had already sold 200 of these pipes. maybe some one will post sound on you tube and maybe some dyno #s

It'll be nice to start getting some true duals for the bike. I have a pair of modded mufflers for now...but it's not what I want ultimately. I know CFR had a set they were planning on being available by this Summer.

Called them yesterday and got some info back from them. Apparently, they're doing their second run of 200 and have presold about 3/4 of them. Next run won't be until the Fall. Cost is $900 for the whole set.

They're built to run with the factory set up. No FC or new intake. If you have a different air filter configuration, you'll need a FC. Gains were different for all three test bikes, but his numbers were all mid to upper single digits. It's a five step-up system. Three in the headers, two in the slip ons. Single piece heat shield. Looks pretty nice.

per lloyd sent email to ben at freedom pipes to see if they will donate a set to lloyd and let him dyno the pipes, well see what happens. proof would be in the pudding

Wow, single digit improvements for $900 is not really that impressive. It becomes even less impressive if these pipes sacrifice mid and low end power to create possibly 10ish HP above 4500 rpm.

I have to say I was really hoping for a better preforming pipe. Hopefully they will donate a pipe to Lloyd so he can do some real testing and see if the pipe is actually worth it at all. I wish Bassani would donate a pipe too just to compare full systems power gains.

Trust me when I say I've spent $6,000 to gain 20 hp but I was a drag boat racer. But for my bike $900 for 9 hp at wot, when I spend 98% of my time at 2550 rpm, not worth it to me. That said I am glad that people are building parts for our bikes nowcheers

I'm with you on that. I don't mind spending money on power (lord knows I'll be doing a lot of that this winter), but if it's all made above 4500 rpm then I would rarely use it. As of now 5000 is generally the highest I go when hitting corners hard. I want real street power where I spend most of my time.

The pipes are nice looking and I'm sure there are folks that are more concerned with looks and sound then performance. Nonetheless, it would be nice to see the gains this exhaust makes.

Is it just me or does it seem odd to anyone else that there have been 200 sets of these sold and the majority of the next built already claimed and there's only one picture? Another oddity is the fact that there are probably at least 800 X-bike owners on this forums and none of them have bought or pre-ordered these? We all like to brag about our new goodies and since nobody has bragged you have to wonder who bought these and how come we haven't heard about it.

My mouth gets my @$$ in trouble on a regular basis, since this is the internet there is a good possibility that my fingers can be accused of doing the same...

I was just passing on the information I got from they guy so my knowledge and interest are both pretty minimal. They sent me the pics and they did not include any from the left side. Hopefully they'll get more info out in the future. I'm just happy to see more people starting to produce for them.

lol...sorry, my comment probably came across wrong. Tends to happen with pure text. :) I was thinking the same thing when he was speaking to me, but figured I'd just take them at their word and leave it at that. Besides...it'll save anyone looking to buy some time. He likes to talk on the phone! ha ha!

I'm not saying they exist or not (bigfoot is real!) I'm simply stating that it's odd that there aren't more pictures. I understand the pipes are limited production but if they want to sell more they're going to have to get some pictures circulating and some owner feedback.

Anything new on these? I really do like the looks, but for $900 and not much HP gain, i may stick with my other options.

They do. You can also fit the bag protectors with no issue. The pipes really are top notch quality. You don't gain any performance over a good set of slip on exhaust. You get a lighter system, better chrome, and it sounds really good. If maximum power is your intent there are other systems that make more.

I was in Reno for the big run in April and Freedom had a display area set up. They had about six HDs on display but no Vics. I have to say that they look great and sound even better.
I was given the exaggerated sales pitch as well. Was told first run was sold out and next run only had a few left so I better pre order now! Best part of pitch was when he showed me a picture in the brochure and apologized because it was a photoshop but assured me that when they were on the bike they would look just like they do on the HD. The picture in this thread is the same one I saw, only cleaned up a bit. I was very skeptical about their existence as any manufacturer would have taken numerous pictures of their trophy to show off.
Would love to know if any really exist!

Installed these Pipes Yesterday along with a Lloyds AC Thought the sound was great but then took it to a local Tuner to work his magic with a PCV .. Stopped by this afternoon thinking might be ready and he started and ran it just to let me hear the sound and wanted to jump right on it and go, but he said Give me one more day and it will be truly right .. Sound Clip to come ..

you tube 2011 victory xr exhaust, 240 bucks plus your stock exhaust, i pay shipping to you , you pay shipping to me
Looks like you could have at least matched the bevel of the exhaust tips, kinda tacky looking - just my 2 cents worth.....

Pipes look good but I would black out the company's name on the exhaust, I hate free advertising.
