Traded the Harley last week for a Kingpin. I have owned a lot of Hondas and 5 Harleys, but this is my first Vic. The great thing about this bike is also the worse thing about it. It looks so good that I don't see much to change on it. Power and pull are wonderful and the clean lines are priceless. 8 Ball so there is not chrome to add. (I love that I can clean this thing in minutes and not hours)
So that brings me to the question, "What did you change on your bike that you enjoy most?"cheers
Whenever I obtain another bike, first thing I modify or add are those related to safety. On my XC that meant an HID Headlamp kit in both hi and lo beam and a Loud ass horn. In this case I had the dealer install a PIAA slimline horn in the oem location. While it is an improvement, it is not as loud as I would have hoped.
I am still looking for an additional or alternative horn that I can get to really pierce the fog that surrounds cagers. I live in a tourist area, largest drive to vacation destination on the east coast...... We call them TOURONS......... Half Tourist, Half MORON expecially when then are driving.
The black luggage rack was a Victory one that does not work with the hard saddle bags. My Victory dealer, top guys at Thunder Road in Birmingham UK re-fabricated them to work so I could go touring... Top marks for a dealer that puts in 200% for their customers
1. victoryhid.com - so quick and easy, safer, and a huge improvement over the stock bulb
2. GPIII's - not everyone enjoys the musical note these put out, but I sure do
3. Last, and probably the most impactful now that cooler weather is here? Memphis Batwing. Incredibly effective at keeping cold wind off me. The look has grown on me so much in a few short months I bet it stays on more than I would have originally intended. With the 9" screen insert, it makes riding at 80mph with a half helmet completely comfortable. Oh, and very loud for the cars to the right of me
With cams kit power commander, and labor, 1400.00. I had the mechanic drill out my stage one, sounds great and runs good. Lloydz said around 107 hp, 113 torque. John
1. Madstad Bracket and soft lowers-Completely transformed wind mgmt on my XC.
2. Cycleops cheese wedges--Beyond beautiful craftsmanship! Get sooooo many compliments on them. Feel like they compliment and finish the look of my bike.
3. RPW pipes/air cleaner/flash, RF Amp/iPod, heated seat-- Love the pipes, music upgrade is just cool and perfect with the louder pipes. I used to tease my buddies who had heated seats-never again!
Conquest Customs back half chop! As soon as it comes back from the powder-coater, I'll post pics. I also installed the CC Ground Pounder exhaust and a couple of little odds and ends To help complete the look I want. By the way, Scott is a gentlemen
So Rollin
You are going to post a picture of your new (car ) tire and not tell us anything about it.
How about some details. I know there's not many curves in WI, but maybe you could tell us about it.
Ooooohhhh, you have crossed over to the darkside! I have a 200mm Metz squeezed onto my suzuki M50 and it basically flat like a car tire and it took away from the ride on the twisties compared to stock.
How the hell does the exhaust ever reach the rear end? From the pic, it looks like three pipes feed an enclosed chamber and the exhaust pipe is in a separate enclosed chamber. How do you plan to saw it?
That's my most 'extensive' mod, I also added fisheye mirrors to the stock mirrors, also MUCH improved view.
Oh yeah, my other extensive mod is a stock factory backrest and a 'grasshopper' driver's backrest.
Whew! I'm getting carried away.
