So, in the hopes that this solves someone else a potential panic attack, I will go ahead and share how to disconnect the OČ sensors if you have the Cobra FI2000 PowrPro. Not because it's a difficult task, but since I fell for the opportunity to do it wrong, I figured someone else will find this helpful.
I disconnected the OČ sensors, and started up the bike. Within about 5 seconds at idle, check engine light came on. I reconnected the OČ sensors, restarted again, and all was good. So that told me that something I had done was not right. But what could it have been? All I did was disconnect the two sensors, which I had done before, prior to the fuel controller.
It then dawn on me that I had disconnected them the wrong way. Yes, there is such thing as a wrong way. I had disconnected the wire that comes from the sensor itself and plugs into the Cobra connector. This left the fuel controller talking to the ECU, but without the input from the OČ sensor. This is what causes the check engine light to come on and throw the lean codes, because the fuel controller tells something to the ECU that makes the ECU go into panic mode.
I have left the OČ sensor plugged into the Cobra PowrPro, and unplugged the connector between the fuel controller and the OČ sensor that goes to the ECU. No error codes, all is good.
So, if there is only one thing you'll remember off this post, remember this: Do not disconnect OČ sensor from the fuel controller, leaving the fuel controller connected to the ECU.

Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
Did 500 miles this weekend . O2's disconnected and no error codes. My bike ran strong and pulled very hard. Cobra is set for around 8 to 9 o'clock and my fuel mileage was around 47 to 49 mpg. Except for occasional burbling on decel with minor pops it ran great. LLoyds IAV should fix that but it doesnt really bother me.

It's a nice cool 65 in sunny south Florida. Went to start my bike and it has an eratic idle. Course I just started it and let it run for about 2 mins before I revved up to about 3500 rpm but it just didnt sound right. My Cobra unit is still installed with no O2's connected.
Last couple of rides I found her stalling at lights a few times and that got me concerned. I decided after reviewing many threads on 02 sensor disconnects that I would try to just connect the factory O2 connections and leave the Cobra O2's out of the picture. (which I had been doing all along since I installed this second tuner). Started the bike and it went to a perfect idle and seems to be back to normal. I'm starting to think that the ECU needs these O2's connected in order to run this bike properly. I just hope leaving the Tuner plugged in and the factory O2's only connected will be o.k.
Any of you fellas having the same issues?

I tried it that way and still got error codes which is why I have everything disconnected now. BTW, I've now got the Cobra set at the factory setting of 7. My gas mileage is back around where it was. If I keep it under 65 mph, I'm getting low to mid 40's mpg. On the interstate at 70-75, it's around 38-40 mpg.

Man I hope that doesnt happen to me again. I'm out of options! Right now my bike is running much better after O2's (Factory only)connected. I got better slow speed response at the throttle. No stalling. Popping while shifting is way reduced. Decel popping gone. Acceleration feels stronger and cleaner no doubt due to the leaner mixture after re connecting the stock O2's. I rode all day sunday with no problems and a smooth resposive bike. Hope this works.
