i've read they are lighter which helps them handle alittle better. last time i priced them, they were $1600 rear and $1100 front from victory for the matching red.

Here they are. That premium is shiny. I still like the S. My son thinks the premium is the best. Factory pipes have to go though. After this picture, I took them in and waxed them.

Pipes look okay, just a little too tame. I would like a little noise and some performance gains. Seating position - I can't say for sure. I like the S, but haven't really even been on the premium yet. It seems like it is okay. My test ride impression was that the premium was maybe easier to control, but I really haven't ridden it enough to state that with much confidence.

Out the door for $12k on both. I thought we might get premium cheaper but, I gave in. I know the dealer took a beating after 6 years. hammer S list was$20499 with pipes added ,premium was $19400. By the time you add in taxes, shipping, and paperwork fees, I am close to half for each bike. I feel lucky.
$12K for both is $6K each? Hmm, pretty darned good deal. Heck, used '07's with miles on them are going for $8K around here. A buddy of mine has an '07 premium and I think those also came with chromed-out front forks as well as the wheels and other chrome.
PS - Just realized this thread is about 3 months old...
