My dealer has a used (00) bike with very "temporary" looking Victory bags on it. I offer them just FYI. From what I could see, they attach by a belt system, ergo my "temporary" appellation. I like the size and probably the price if they were still made. They appear to be some sort of stiff foam, covered in nylon; nothing glamorous, but ideal to slap on for a tour and stow for show. http://www.menneto.com/new_galleria....03&pov=2659729

When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.
I really like those bags on the hammer. But does anyone know what seat that is on the orange hammer? The one with the small backrest for the passenger. I'd love to get a seat like that.

Indeed as as Marius says, it's the OEM touring seat...someone has a pretty good deal on one over at eBay right now if you were looking for one (seller is not me or anyone I know...I actually sold my "spare" touring seat earlier in the summer, just sayin' that's a great price for a really comfy saddle...).

Is drilling of the fender required to install the OEM touring seat? I know the bandit seat required drilling. Not a big deal, I just don't want to hack up the bike.

Yes, you have to drill a few holes just like the bandit seat (though they are in fact the same holes as the bandit from what I gather from the instructions so theoretically you could go back and forth).
I guess ill go with bandit in that case. Looks much better and feels the same as the victory touring seat. That victory seat is down right hideous... what were they thinking.... Maybe a different passenger backrest can save the look and theme of the bike with that seat.
I bought my bike in April, I went from the stock seat, to the flamed bandit, and finally, with much hesitation(worrying about "the look") I put the touring seat on to make the wife happy to ride along. I honestly like the touring seat the best out of all 3. SO DOES SHE

Doesn't Ma Vic make 2 different bags that fit the Hammer?
As I understand it, the leather bags mentioned here were specifically targeted at the Hammer/Jackpot crowd, but there are a set of "standard mounting brackets" that supposedly would allow you to mount the hard-sided lockable bags. FWIW, I actually had both here in my house as I was contemplating using Ghost Brackets with the Vic hard sided bags on my Hammer (there's a threat over at the victory owners group forum about someone else using Ghost Brackets with the hard-sided bags), but when I ended up putting the hard bags next to the Hammer, it just didn't "feel right" and flow well with the lines of the bike. In the end, I sold the hard bags and went with Vic's recommended leather bags like those pictured in this post. I will miss the lock and hard sides, but the styling and easy-removal with the Ghost/Easy Brackets more than makes up for it in my mind...YMMV.
