Now that they can use it to their political advantage, they are all for mandatory gov't identification. Just goes to show that your handlers have no principals. You're incorrect. You're not required to own nor carry a photo ID. The closest thing to it is the requirement to properly identify yourself when lawfully detained for criminal activity. And even then, a photo ID is not required as there are other methods.
