Nope, it was the whole package for her. I wasn't all that impressed, but trying to compare it to what I was riding it just didn't do it for me. It was nice, but just wasn't what I was looking for. I would have been OK with it, but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
The wife got on for round two. The whole package didn't work for her. First, the saddlebags forced her into an uncomfortable position and she said it was awkward. The seat felt too soft for her, but we knew a seat was in the future, however she had to go by the feel of the stock seat along with the dimensions. The seat was too narrow, front to back as it sat. Add a backrest(a must), and she felt afraid for her nether parts if we had to stop in a hurry. She liked the wrap around backrest along with the height, but she said the seat itself was shaped poorly and wasn't doing it for her. There was also the small storage capability of the saddlebags. We don't want a trailer on every trip.
It was hard to make the seat maker understand that we knew what we were looking for. After a lot of explaining and arguing, it finally came down to "Make it like I'm telling you or forget it, we'll find someone who listens." After the question of riding experience we got through. My wife has more saddle time than most riders do in a lifetime. I can multiply that by at least 5, so they shut up and asked. The final product was a score for the home team, but I can't recommend the maker in good conscience.
If you ride with a pillion, make sure the momma is happy, especially if she rides as much as mine. If you are going to carry a passenger, make sure there is room. I think someone said the 11 or 12 model lost 4-5 inches for the pillion. The 9 inch seat is for supermodel, skinny girls. IMHO. can't imagine what they were thinking, but I have seen some hogs on Hogs and have no idea how they wiggled into that space.
Probably not making any since. It has been a long day. Some don't consider their pillion, but that is their business. I guess that is why there are so many different rides, everyone needs and wants something different.
