Default I lived in Scottsdale for 5 years

While its true you could hit cold or snow in the north country there is still plenty of good riding.
Jerome...old mining town with lots of bars and artsy shops
Ride up the Flagstaff the back way through wickenburg. You will have lots of switchbacks.
My favorite: If you have warm weather you have to take 87 up to Payson, Payson to (stop to see painted desert) Winslow, Jump on 40 for a bit East to Holbrook. Take 180 S to St Johns, then 191 to 60. Take 60 W to Show Low, to Globe and then into Mesa. This is some of the best riding in White Mountains.

Enjoy

These sound like GREAT rides. I will make sure that I check the weather before I head out. Thanks KDB

The road thru Oah Creek Canyon from Sedona to Flagstaff is spectacular, just be careful switchbacks with steep drops on one side and rock wall on the other! There's also a Volcano Park NE of Flagstaff with old Indian ruins that is a beaitiful ride.
