Today feels like Christmas, UPS dropped off a package from Lloyds and my Bassani exhaust from Honda East, then my dealer called and my coupon issue (see other thread) is finally fully resolved and he asked me to send him a list of $1000 worth of accessories so he can get them on order.
Heading to the garage now to start working on the install.
Merry Christmas!

Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
Finished installing everything on Thanksgiving, getting to the injectors was a pain but got it done. After some minor tuning in the garage last night finally got to take it out for a test ride today. Runs great, sounds great, and no popping at all so far.

I told myself I wasn't going to spend much more than the initial cost of my XC... " Had" to buy handlebars, lowering link to make the bike fit.. Bought a pcv the other day and will buy the auto tune in a few weeks.. Going to buy D&D exhaust this winter.. Probably plan a trip to Lloyd's or the Vic shop or perhaps Gainesville for the cams this coming spring.. Probably do a amp and speaker upgrade.. WTH happened to not doing much to this bike...?!!
I did all that too, except for the exhaust, and just kept on going. Various lowers and windshields, Madstad windshield brackets (both gen's), trunk, chromed the wheels, EBC brake pads, Victory round contrast cut cheese wedges, lined the trunk, going to line the bags, getting the new badges, red plug wires, various red bolts for the cam and primary covers, and a bunch of other stuff.
When I take it down to the dealer the guys like to come out to see if they can spot the new things I've done to it.
I just can't leave well enough alone. At least I'm down to the small stuff now.
No, to hook up the VFCIII you have to unplug injectors and plug in the VFCIII harness. I didn't have to take the injectors out but getting to the connectors is a pain.
i know how it is. Also this is the first bike i really spend a lot of miles on, and i made a mistake with the soft bags. So on my list are hard bags, but such a waste of money. Will have to try trading the soft bags and money for someone with hard bags they may not have wanted.
Finally got my accessory order from Victory today, and also got some new goodies for Christmas for the bike. The list keeps growing but at this point the only other thing else I want to do is get the seat reworked.
From Victory:
Aux light kit
front & rear chrome fender guards
chrome rear master cylinder cover
chrome kickstand and spring
chrome clutch actuator cover
chrome comfort grips
for Christmas I got from Witchdoctors:
polished front master cylinder cap
rear brake reservoir cover
polished passenger floorboard inserts
oil dipstick thermometer
There's a few ways your bike gets "done".
1. The new owner rides it away while you head to the bank.
2. The dealer rolls it into the back so they can swap the plate to your new one while you check out the doodads they got hanging on the wall in parts.
3. The wrecker hauls it away while you dicker with the insurance man.
4. The thief disappears with it while you wait for the check.
I have bikes that are parked 2000 miles away that I haven't ridden in years that I am still having stuff drop shipped to.
Done can be found under the heading "Who is kidding who?" in the big book of lies we tell ourselves.
Oh yeah, Crash55 nice hit. Even with shipping it's still a decent hit. Pop watches Aussie stuff on Discovery and whatnot and on my bucket list, right near the top, is blowing by one a them road trains at a good clip. I don't care who you are that kind of stuff just cannot get old.

I got a Cross Country Tour. It's a 2012. It's red. I done some stuff to it and will do some other stuff, but there's a bunch of stuff I don't care to do.
I know some stuff but there's a bunch of stuff I don't know. There's a mess of stuff I don't want to know but gratefully I have forgotten a lot of that.
