Nope your absolutely right.. This was a polling thread to see if folks on the site would like to have a Adventure forum for Vic riders who do IBA or adventure riding of the such. Crossroads asked to try in the regional first so trying to preceed IBA posts with that IBA - blah blah blah... Here is a linke to the original thread I posted in SE forums. So far, just me and depotpicker posted.. Don't look like it is taking off. http://www.victoryforums.com/showthr...572#post106572
As you get closer to yours, feel free to post there or start a thread in your own region. Looking forward to hearing about and your right... You either love this stuff or do it once for the T-Shirt.. lol... Were planning our spring and summer runs now... Going to be a couple good runs!
Safe ridin
Tim
Aint a lot of us Tim.

Well at least 5 of us for sure. Lol. I posted in a separate thread about Tour of Honor 2012 which is a wounded warrior supported and recognized by IBA for two SS1Ks. TOH/SS1K visiting 4 of your states memorials riding 1k or visit all 7 within 24 hours and riding 1K. My neighbor and I did the extreme and what a ride. The memorials were very moving and the ride plan/execution was challenging. Had a great ride.
I'm working with them picking out VA memorials for 2013, should be another great year. Going to ride a couple of their routes in 2013 and planning on 2 IBA but my problem is narrowing down what I want to ride. Lol. Wish I was retired. Hehehe
What you got on the table for next year?

I'm thinking of doing a BB1500 in June. It will be to visit the grand kids. I'm trying to plan a route that will get me a generous 1500.

What direction you headed? Eastern seaboard or outwest?

It will be to Maine from GA. Maybe via Indianapollis or one of the Ohio cities.

I'm hoping to try the IBA 100CCC. Jacksonville, FL to San Diego, CA and back to Jacksonville in less than 100 hours.
Four 1200 mile days. I'm not sure I will have the $$ to do it but I am planning just in case.

I do an Ironbutt every time I visit my grandkids in Chesapeake, VA. So far, I have made four trips out there and back...most in about 17 hours....LOVE THAT TRIP for lots of reasons.
Heaviest rain I was ever in was in Suffolk (on my way to Chesapeake)...rain was SO HEAVY I was doing about 5-10 miles an hour with my flashers on and riding my brakes (so were the cars around me). SCARY STUFF!!
Beautiful out your way Chief!!
