Looks like a security screw to me. That means you need the corresponding security wrench to screw it in or unscrew it.

Could be wrong though. It has happened far too many times this year.

Hard to tell with the glare from flash but maybe a torx screw?

It's either a 'Security Torx' or a 'Security allen' . Go to Sears or someplace and get a set of bits... Looks to be a baffle screw.

If you add baffles at some time in the future... your already set with a security screw to lock them in. You don't really believe that they make two types of pipes... baffled and not baffled. They make one pipe and either put in the baffles or not.

I had never seen these before. I went to sears and bought a set. Here is what it looks like. 5/32 security allen

And here is what i found inside my shotgun pipes.

I did not think there was anything in there, i had ran a rod up there feeling for a baffle, but i was wrong in thinking there was nothing there.

That is a back pressure "baffle"... straight shot pipes without this kind of "baffle" are not any louder and without the back pressure they really drag down the performance level.

The only way to have those pipes without baffles is to remove the baffles... They also come with catalytic converters... Either in the front section of the baffle or in the head pipes.

With the baffles and cats removed those pipes will make blood run out of your eye sockets and have a decel sound like the jake brake on a Kenworth.
