Default dead v92sc after storage

morning all, apologies for the length of this post but its best that all be explained correctly.

2001 v92sc, 1200 miles has been in storage for last 3 years, working perfectly when parked, fuel drained, oil in bores, battery removed and bike covered.

3 weeks ago, remove from storage after relocating countries, new battery, clean all electrical connections and run through some pre start items, remove plugs, oil in bores before cranking etc. Notice no fuel pump buzz on ign, run through tests and fuel pump is shot. To be expected. New pump and filter from the Vic Shop (thanks Rylan) Fill with about 3-4l of fuel and crank over to get going. Cranking fine but no start. Suffice to say after a few more tests i am stumped. just to some up this it what i do have and you will see my confusion.

- new fuel pump and filter.
- healthy spark at plugs (checked when removed)
-147psi cyl 1and 155psi cyl 2 compression
- wet plugs with fuel (removed and checked after cranking)
- unrestricted air intake and exhaust system (no blockages)
- new battery and electrical connections all checked (good earths on block, spark plug tubes etc)
- all electrics working as should and relays checked

Anything here i could have possibly missed? I have the FSM, but it seems to me I have all the ingredients for a bang but its not happening

Usually when all is as you say there is a "spark" missing. I would run through the various tests for that starting with the plugs themselves... working back to the coil.

Hi Handy,
Plenty of spark there as mentioned. When plugs were out tested both and a nice healthy spark from the electrode when grounded.

Hence my confusion.

Note/ just double checked again and also checked coil resistance and all within specs

Put in NEW plugs.I have seen where plugs wouldnt fire good under compression

try starter fluid, if it fires then you are not getting fuel. Sometimes oil in the cylinder fouls the plugs.Blow out the cylinders and put new plugs in.

are you sure the plugs aren't wet from the oil in the cylinders? i would pull them and crank it a few times to blow the oil out if you haven't already, then put in new plugs.

Ftwflh, they will be on next shopping list from USA if necessary, electrodes still immaculate at the moment and no degradation and gap spot on. Not available in the middle east unfortunately.
Gibson,Plugs cleaned with wire brush and then regapped correctly. No starter fluid available either, was going to squirt a little fuel into cyl to double check but with the plugs wet after cleaning and cranking each time that somewhat redundant.
Rides little, yep all done and cleaned out when pulled each time after trying to start up.
That was my first thought as well.

Maybe the wires are switched (plug wires)

Try putting the spark plug in the spark plug wire without screwing it in the engine and try starting the engine-see if the plug is sparking. That should show you if it's getting spark.

I think he did say he has spark , but I am betting not at the right moment . Plugs can spark all day long but if they aren't firing on the compression stroke , it ain't gonna run
