Hey all, I have decide to install the Victory heated grips on my 2011 XR. My question is, how the heck do I get the stock grips off? Thanks in advance for any advice that comes my way!
pull really hard!..... seriously work a slim screwdriver around under them, spraying some wd 40 under them helps, and work them off. the ends pull off
Just aheads up, that is only for non-heated grip removal. This I learned on my first handlebar replacement.

Minor thread hijack: What connectors inside the headlight do the instructions tell you to use for the grips?

Chrome caps have to come off first. Heat grip instructions yanking them off with a plier as they provide replacements. I've read where others have had luck with a rubber trap wrench. Myself, I pulled back the existing grip a bit and got a small flat blade between the bar and the cap. Twisted the driver a little, moved about 90deg around the cap and twisted a little more. Did this all around and they came off fine. Was able to reuse them.
When I replaced my handle bars, I was able to "save" my stock grips and chrome end by taking them off using the following method.
1. using a 6" or so piece of 2 x 4, place one end between the rubber of the grip and the flat of the chrome end
2. tap with a hammer of the 2 x 4...move 2 x 4 around the circumference of this area at gently tap out the chrome tip from the bar until completely removed
3. using a small flat blade screw driver, separate the rubber grip from bar enough to allow you to spray some wd-40 between the grip and the bar.
4. twist on the grip until it breaks free and then remove.
hope this helps
