Hey guys, I wanted to ask others that have the stock HID light on a 2012 cross country tour if inside the lens fogging up is normal? Mine has been that way for quite a while. Does anyone else have this problem?

No, it's not normal. And no, it doesn't have anything to do with the HID. You need to remove the headlight, look for any shifted or broken seals, any other openings and seal them up. Silicone is a good option. The heat in the headlight ends up drawing moisture from the ambient air - that's how and why it fogs up.

Ok, that makes sense. My bike is still under warranty and was recalled for the throttle cable nuts to be re-torqued. When I take it back for the recall I will have them fix the leak in the headlight. Thanks for the response.
I had a crap load of moisture in my assembly today. Rode to work in below freezing temps. It sat in the warm sun all day and it was 70 when I went out to ride her home.
This is what mine looked like.
The whole assembly is only a few weeks old as the dealership installed it before I picked it up. I do have the original
Update on mine. I discovered when I installed my VictoryHID bulbs, the dealership installed the rubber cover/boot covering the Vic HID light only half way. That meant for the wash they did and the wash I did after getting her home allowed water and junk to enter the housing. Water poured out of it after I removed the housing from the bike.
