Ruined beyond fixing/polishing?

My 04 has some pitting and some of the cheap (Polaris) chrome popping.But I would rather ride it than polish and polish on it.
The recommendation post will work but take a lot of time and work.
If you bought your bike to look at and admire do the or work.But I would rather just ride this is my opinion and comes from a guy with a wall full of bike show winnings from when my HD was new to me.Still turns heads but isnt detailed.

i'm pretty nit picky about such stuff, i would fix it, but i'm also cheap, i would never pay anyone to do what i can do myself, regardless of the labor.

Out where you live why not ride to some chrome shops an ask them how long it would take to do you stuff.
If you and a friend pull it a part I can't believe you would be down for more then two weeks.
Just make sure you order all parts and have in hand before tearing a part. You can get better wheel seals and bearing from a bearing store at a cheaper price then a dealer .

once you get it down to light scratches you can use Never Dull to finish it off. It will take a while but it works easiest with softer metals. The Navy is a huge fan of never dull.
