I know some stuff but there's a bunch of stuff I don't know. There's a mess of stuff I don't want to know but gratefully I have forgotten a lot of that.

Still, I think we all benefit from the donations to their efforts. For instance, recently there are health insurance companies that were discriminating against motorcyclists and other people who submitted claims for injuries that occurred while engaging in "risky pastimes." AMA and other rider's organizations lobbied to overturn that loophole.

I'm pretty sure you'd still benefit from being insured if you sustained medically treated injuries from a bike wreck, no?

Forum's owned by Motorcycle.com, with headquarters in Toronto, Canada. Your optional subscription did not go offshore - it's still in America.

Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

and Motorcycle dot com is owned by verticalscope, with servers in California. Their Headquarters are in Toronto Canada. I must have missed the USA taking over Canada...

I just prefer to keep MY money in THIS country whenever possible. This is my option.

Next time, don't donate money if you don't like those you're donating to.

My offshore comment was more of a joke, as they're on the same continent with us, thus not offshore - since the joke didn't catch I ended up laughing by myself.

To me, Canada's the best neighbor we've ever had. Economically speaking, they buy our products, and don't flood the US with cheap, poor quality merchandise. It never bothers me to send money to a Canadian company. And as you said, if they're using servers located in California, that shows you where they spend their money.

I wish I owned the forum, so all the money came to me, here in the U.S.A.!

Victory sent me a "congratulations" letter when I bought my bike and a newsletter. That's all I have ever heard from them and I'm fine with that.
