Hippo Hands?

I just put the Victory heated grips on my XR and was told to look at Hippo Hands for added benifit. I have heard of these but am thinking that controls might be affected. Has anyone here tried Hippo Hands? Waht do you think?

They are a very nice product that work well to keep you warm and dry in cold weather. An added benefit is they allow you to wear summer weight gloves in cold temps which makes it easier with your controls... You'll have a short break-in time where you get used to using your controls without seeing them but it doesn't take too long...

I have used them for years on other bikes but haven't bought them for my XC yet although i probably will before next winter.

Interesting. They look toasty but funky at the same time. Whatever it takes to keep riding though.


Have you looked at the little grip fairings or whatever they are called. Brukus and others make them.

I use them on my Kingpin when it gets cold. They work great. Keep the hands toasty and don't mess with my controls. Just makes it hard to wave to other riders.

No clue as to what model they are. Should fit about any bike. Look like new, as far as I know they were never on a bike. If you want them, $30.00 & shipping. Dave

I had a set of these when I was in Wisconsin in the 1970's,80's, & 90's. Very effective in keeping the cold off your hands. I had the (I believe) original Vetter Hippo Hands. Gave them away when I came to Florida !!!!!
