Just ordered a 6k set. Read until my eyes were bleeding to decide between 5k and 6k. Went with the 6's only because they're different. As inexpensive as they are if I don't like them I'll order up some 5's.
I need some help CR. I just installed your low beam kit on my '07 Ness Jackpot. I followed all of the instructions to include cutting up my old bulb holder. When I turned the key on, the bulb did not fire up at all. I did not try to start the engine only turned the key. Any ideas?

This is a quote from: http://victoryhid.com/faq.php: Q: Installed the kit, but light does not turn on, and seems dead. What do I do?
A: Simply reverse the polarity of the kit at the OEM connection.
The kits are all wired correctly, where the red wire is always the positive, and the black is the negative (symbols of + and - on the connector are also correct). However, some of the Vics have the polarity backwards from factory. How's that possible? Halogen bulbs don't care about polarity, so even if the polarity is backwards, the stock halogen bulbs work.
The only thing to worry for you is if you plug it in, and it does not work - if that's the case, reverse the polarity, and it should fire up. Don't worry about giving the kit the wrong polarity - it detects it and plays dead - no damage will occur.

You may have the same problem I had with my 07 Hammer -- reverse polarity. The this does not effect the halogen bulbs, however, the HID bulb will not illuminate.
I rotated the connector 180° and plugged it back together (the connector is symmetrical) and it illuminated. The clip on the connector won't lock but that isn't a problem as friction will hold it together and there is nothing pulling on the wires.
I replaced the high and low beams with the 6000 K bulbs and am extremely happy with the results.
CR is an outstanding individual and his customer service is A+.

I'm a little slow on the keyboard...what corrective step CR is telling you is the same instruction I received with positive results.

That is an issue with a lot of different lights from my experience. I was in that exact same boat and no offense CR I was cussing you left and right. Then it clicked. Anyways what ever lights you ever hook up and really any electrical connection remember that polarity does matter in most cases. if you have a digital volt meter it is easy to know which one is the "hot" wire. if you have a negative voltage on the display that your positive lead is on the ground.

Is there additional wiring needed? Is there room in the headlight for the ballast? I have a cross country
Nothing additional is needed. Plenty of room. Kits go in the fairing - see install instructions on the website.
