I have #148. I bought it brand new from Spoiled Sports in Bowmanville. It's a bit of a long haul for me to go back there for anything but they are a great bunch so I don't mind at all.
Ive got 247. Still have no idea how many they made. I know theres a thread on here somewhere for people to list which one they have and where they are from.
Hell no, post them pics; I love the cross roads look, especially the hard ball. I just happen to also love the looks of my cross country. But still wish they would have kept the cross roads; I felt it was a good competitor to HDs roadking. Maybe one of these days it'll come back.
Hopefully have some new pics now that the weather is finally feeling like Spring around here (and I get done with my bathroom remodel). I could afford either the XC or XR but chose the XR because I liked the look and I wanted to have the option to go without and windshield when I wanted to. It also helped that I bought my 2011 XR in 2012 and it was sitting by itself in a corner with an inch of dust on it. Got it for much less percentage wise than I could talk any dealer down on a XC at the time.
Any time you can get a deal like that, you might as well take it. I managed to get my 2011 XC for a good price, but being used made it easier, but as long as you enjoy what you ride, that's all that matters.
I have hard bags but if I had the leather ones I would be happy.
The leather is more forgiving from boots dragging over them. My hard bags have quite a few scrapes now
Here's a pic of my baby:
I have to agree with that. The hardbags look better IMO than the soft but on the black bikes the softbags don't look to bad. I have scuffed my bags up pretty good, especially the right one. The good thing about the red paint is the flake hides alot of scratches that black will not. I am on my 3rd black pick up truck though, love the color when clean but it shows everything.
I don't have the fairing (considered it, but passed), but like you, I did convert to hard bags. Had mine painted to match the rest. Also added a trunk.
Had bike a for over 3 years now, Oct 2015 it will be 4 years. Bike has changed up a bit.
