i bought a 2004 RS Warrior new in 04, air kit, pipes, pc3 and dynoed, fast bike, corners well. 2012 bought CC, put in lloyds cams, air cleaner, timing gear, iav, pc5, and dynoed. Sold warrior to son in law, had to keep in the family. Both of us 2 up, 5 mph rolling and gunned it. I won hands down, pulled him by about 3 bike lenghts up to 110mph and let off. Now son in law needs 110 big bore kit for warrior.cheers
The only way I can see you winning is that the warrior rider is a little inexperienced. Give him some time on that bike and you'll be getting owned soon enough.
i have a friend that had a 2009 warrior with an after market intake, pipe and pcv with auto tune. he took it to the dyno to see the numbers and he made 82 hp and 106 tq. from looking at the specs on both of the new models the weight difference is about 100 lbs. the guy on the cross country is probably making around 20 hp more and the same tq. i think it would be a good race.
when i had the warrior dynoed it was 108 tq and 87 hp, cc was at 115hp and 115 tq, ya im 54 and son in law is 22, he's very experinced rider for his age and knows the bike. I taught him what he needed to know about the warrior. Gotta love these wives, they were putting the spurs to both of us yelling moore, moore, faster! we ride pretty spirited most of the timecheers
