Default Diagnosing Turn Signal Short

I just picked up a used 2005 Vegas. Everything works great except the left turn signals. The indicator light flashes fast and neither the front or back turn signal lights.
I checked bulbs, and swapped relays without effect. Also removed both bulbs and disconnected the wires from the bulb socket front and back, and still have the fast indicator light flashing. The owners manual says this indicates a short. Any tips on how I can diagnose it further?

Thanks!
Rich
