I have put 450 miles on my new 2012 CCT and I've noticed that the fuel / gas gauge is very inaccurate. I've actually watched the needle move while sitting at a stop light.
The first time the fuel light came on and the gauge showed bone dry I was only able to pump 3.8 gallons into the tank. The second time I was able to get 4 gallons. This bike has a 5.8 gallon fuel tank!
Has anyone else experienced this issue? I didn't see any other posts mentioning this.
Typical of a Victory, from my experience. Inaccurate fuel gages and speedometers seem par for the course. Irritating but if it is built like a tank (mechanically speaking), I can deal with it.
I usually get 4.2 gallons in if I fill up right when the light comes on. Its about .4 gallons early per what the owners manual says it should be. I wish they would have made it come on with 1 gallon left and it was accurate each time. I wish they would lose the "Low Miles" warning and leave the miles till empty up. With the gauge on E and a orange light on, I get it the point.
I am figuring I can get close to 230 miles per tank. I use the trip meter, but it would be nice if they perfected these gauges and MPG.
What's the ballpark range that everyone is getting per tank? I just got 165 on my first tank with mostly city riding. This normal? Ive only had the bike three days so I'm unsure..

my fuel light comes on when i'm about 4 gal down from full.....guess you cant bitch about Early Warnings!!

165 for the entire 5.8 gallons, no not normal. 165 for the low fuel light, yes that is about right.
My wife and I had 385 lbs on the bike for 5 days, her and my weight with tools and luggage We had 41 mile per gallon, some tanks 38 some 45 miles per. Miles divided by gallons per fill up with Cee Bailey Flectors in the forged bars. 200 miles was the most we could go after 10 miles of the low fuel light on.
