After riding various dirt bikes and enduros with the odd street bike thrown in from the mid 70's until the mid 90's, I finally gave up bikes so that my wife would stop being such a spaz thinking I was going to die every day. Settled on a nice little convertible that she wasn't terrified of. Fast forward 20 years and I'm bored with the car and have the bike itch again.
So three weeks ago I let her know that it's time to sell the sports car and not wanting to pee that money away on siding or new cupboards, I needed another toy. A bike in fact and she says....wait for it... "maybe I should get one too" "Holy crap", I say, "seriously?" "Ya", says she, "the kids are gone and this is something you and I can do together."
Not wanting that bubble to burst, she had this two days later:
Now my turn. Had my eye on a new Boardwalk so 3 days later, after doing a little shopping, I bought this:
So, as the dealer is doing the paperwork on the Boardwalk and the bike is being taken off the showroom floor, my eye catches a bike they didn't have in just 2 days earlier. Nice, I think to myself and go back to work. Just one problem. I can't get that bike out of my mind. I google it, I youtube it, the numbers hit the spreadsheet, all that crap. I explain my dilemma to my wife and she insightfully asks, which one wouldn't make you think you should have maybe bought the other. Instant answer....this one:
So , less than 24 hours after I bought my first Victory, I traded it in and bought the second one. So within one week I bought three bikes and traded one. It was a good week.
