Custom License Plate FRAMES?

Just curious...most of the "custom" license plate frames have a 1" bottom border which means they will NOT fit on the stock license plate mount on the Cross Country Tour...The mount needs vertical adjustments, but with the stock version...there is only some horizontal adjustment?

Has anyone else dealt with this or remedied it?

I used a drill and it fits fine.
