The Unicycle Motorcycle is a cool idea, but it will always be limited to low speed due to its balancing mechanism interfering with the ability to do a high speed emergency stop. I think I saw somewhere a design that had 2 smaller wheels next to each other that for higher speeds stretched out into a more conventional 2 wheel layout.
