Default Help. 99 V92C fuel pressure regulator is missing the hose.

I have a 99 V92C that I Got and was not running. I got it running but it will not idle and it has black smoke that come out of it. I put new plugs, Wires, Fuel Filter And pump, K&N Air filter. I noticed there is no hose on the connection on top of the fuel pressure regulator. Could that be why? If so what does it go to? Please help???

There is no hose on that regulator -so that is not your problem.
You should start by cleaning the throttle bodies and checking for air leaks. Also check the oil temp sensor on the rear jug. Make sure the two-wire harness end is clean and tight as well as the sensor plug. Clean and retighten battery terminals and check the main ground.
If you still have problems report back with fuel pressure, compression, charging voltage

I cleand the ground on the frame and checked the oil temp sensor connection. It cooks clean and got a continuity through the wires. I have not had a chance to take it for a ride again.

it's running again repaced the oil temp sensor and the air temp sensor. Took it for a ride for about 25 miles and it stays running.

Now I need to find a exaust or some slipon mufflers. Anyone know what will work on a 99???????????
