NO LONGER AVAILABLE
This simple and cheap adapter will have your Cross bike rock solid on your lift. Just rubber band it in place on the round crossbar at the base of the left passenger peg as shown. Front of the bike is to the left in the photos. That holds it in place while you position and raise your lift. I find that if I angle my lift about 20 degrees (handle toward the rear of bike) I can get the front lift arm end to abut the sidestand mount and the rear lift arm to be under the adapter and the stout exhaust crossover support. My bike is so steady, I have no need to strap it down. I have even done a tire change, taking both wheels off the bike.
Email me at zittenfields@q.com and I'll give you the dimensions to make your own.
Ric , can you please design and build me a Flux Capacitor , its what makes time travel possible . I want to fit this to my Hammer , not a Delorean please . If anyone can do it , its you . Your buddy . thumb up
Depending on the outcome of the next presidential election, we may all need one of those. I'll see what I can do. Do you have Christopher Lloyd's phone number?:ltr:
:ltr: You don't need his help Ric , you would do just fine on your own . But if you do need his # , we can try to get it from Marty Mcfly . Don't worry about Biff , he's a pussy .thumb up Really though , nice little invention you got there . Affordable too !cheers
Sorry, the price is $7...I was too optimistic about the postage cost. Ouch!

Make that $4 if ordering together with the laydown license bracket.

Don't have a video camera. C'mon, its too simple. Rubber band it to the round cross bar at the base of the left passenger peg/board support. Raise your lift and viola! I find I have to angle my lift about 15-20 degrees to the rear, so the end of the front arm just touches the sidestand mount and the rear arm is sufficiently under the adapter block. See the photos in the second link in my signature.
Ric, do you happen to know whether your block with work with an XCT? I don't know if the bottom of the beefy adjustable-height support for the passenger mini-boards is the same as the bottom of the peg support on the XC or XR -- do you?

I checked the fitment of my lift adapter on a XCT and its a good fit. A word of caution tough to all; Just above the cross shaft that you place the adapter on is a hydraulic tube. Take care that the adapter will not press against it. If it does, simply trim it down with coarse sandpaper, manually or on a power sander.
I put my Cross Roads Classic away on sunday and i tried to use my lift I've used on my other bikes i've owned but i couldn't see a way of missing the oil filter and the kickstand so i just left it on the ground. Should i be worried? I've always stored my bikes raised off the ground so i wouldn't have tire issues in spring (flat spots etc).
You just wanna spend my money!!!!
I would but buying stuff from the states for me is usually a major pain in the ass. And once you add up shipping and duty charges etc. a $4 part becomes $400!. Its a shame too since i'm in the Portland area a few times a year. I just got back from there a few weeks ago. Had i known then what i know now.....
3 nights??? Now that's a serious ride!! I like riding with no agenda so Mags if I ever get a chance to ride with you don't be surprised if we only make a few hundred miles in a day... If I see a cool bar I stop... If I see a mom n pop burger joint I stop... If I see anything remotely interesting I stop... The woman and I are planning an east coast trip in a couple years. Will probably take 2 weeks and see lots of country side. You never know Mags we may look you up.

Whats it made of RICZ?....Think it'd work on my Vegas, I bought an ATV lift a few weeks ago but cos of the vee of the sump and the frame rails being higher it wasnt very stable.
I was thinking of a couple of strips of wood to take up the gap between the feet of the lift and the frame rails.
Havent really put much thought into it as Ive spent most of my time this last month cutting some rust out of and repainting this MOPAR for my lady...Its an Aussie 1974 Chrysler by Chrysler, should have a 265 Hemi 6 cyl or a 360 V8, this car was originally optioned with the 265 six but at some time has been replaced with a Hemi 245 six.
We are off to Mopar Sunday tomoz at the local dragstrip and Ive got an idea she may be gonna run it.
1st pic is during the 800 mile trip home after buying off ebay, couldnt miss this photo oportunity of a Mopar parts truck parked by the highway.
the other two taken at the local diner now shes all finished (not that theyre ever finished):smile
She's gorgeous MBX. Wish I were there to see it in person. I made my blocks out of plastic - a type of nylon. But wood should work too, especially hardwood. The grain should run the length of the block for rigidity.
