Default Oppose the national internet sales tax

Got this from Ebay.
The gov is trying to sneak through a national internet sales tax again.
If you oppose it you can go here and have the letter on the site sent to your senators telling them not to push this new tax through during this lame duck congress.

A lot of people here buy online and it will certainly hurt many small start up businesses if they have to charge tax and file a new tax quarterly with the feds. Some of those affected post here regularly.
Free enterprise breathes through the tax loop holes that exist. Don't let them close this one.

I got the same message and filled out the info to add my name to the list of protesting an internet sales tax. It's fine the way it is.

Chain letters, surveys, polls and the like are many times not a good thing to put your name on as they are used by hackers and spammers to get your ID. Not to worry (methinks) about new taxes in an election year, but if the House goes to the Dems, then its time to worry.

This government just started another 10 yr war we can't pay for and will spend up to 300 billion this year alone towards it and instituted a national healthcare plan on credit.
You aren't expecting new taxes this year?????? Come on be serious. Got to get the money somewhere and were the only cash cow in sight.

What does matter is that a percentage of these small startups that the government seeks to choke off with taxes and regulations are the future B Gates and S Jobs of the nations. If they just stay with their day job and go home at night and play video games because it costs too much to start an online business a lot of Americans are going to miss out.

Who knows there maybe a bike with a flux capacitor in your future or a cure for cancer. Won't know if they never have an incentive to go into business for themselves.

Compound that with the second highest corporate and business taxes in the nation and Oregon's business unfriendliness is sending jobs elsewhere. Our governor is anti coal, coal trains, oil, oil trains, and anything we burn in order to produce energy and/or motive power. Coal, oil and LNG ports would bring billion$ into Oregon, but His Greeness sez no.

While the states who have sales taxes are pushing to have online vendors collect sales taxes for items shipped to their states there is no support for a federal sales tax.
