Default Any Supercross / Motocross Fans?

I started riding dirt bikes for fun as a teenager, and a friend of mine was a pro level MX rider here in Canada.

I've been hooked on the sport since the early 90s following Stanton, Bayle, Cooper, Keidrowski, Larocco, McGrath, and Emig.

Back in the day I remember having to wait for Cycle News to hit the newsstand to get the results from the previous race, and TV coverage was almost non existent or a 6 month delay. Now pretty much every event has live coverage!

I've been lucky enough to go to at least 1 SX round every year since 1993 in Pontiac, Detroit, Tampa, Orlando, and Toronto. Unadilla and Red Bud are 2 MX tracks I'll get to eventually.

Anyone else here hooked like me?

I used to be... I started riding bikes at age 5 and Rick Johnson immediately became my hero. I started racing when I was 18 and was a pretty decent intermediate rider and a really shitty pro. I have a half dozen buddies who where really fast pro's up here in the great white north.
Jason Frenette,Chuck Mesley,Ryan Lockhart, Sean "Chief" Edzerza, Steve Koleyak... I was fortunate enough to watch Frenette compete in AMA supercross for a number of years. I haven't been to a supercross in years but am planning to take my wife to Vegas this year. I used to watch religiously but with the kids and life I have stopped watching for some reason....

I'm ate up with the same disease. I've been a Supercross fan since Bob "Hurricane" Hannah. Back when the races were ran in outdoor stadiums. I'm loving the live coverage we are and have been getting for the last 15 years or so, gives a good opportunity to learn the riders and the up and coming riders in the 250 class. I remember going to the races in the late 70s early 80s and not really have a clue about who the riders were and their strengths on the track. What I'm missing now with the loss of the speed channel is moto go and world superbike coverage. I've always been a fan of 2 wheel sports and I hope that one of the networks will fill the void of more live coverage of all of it. All those kids that race have a great skill and brass balls and the world should be given the opportunity to see it.
As far as this seasons Supercross, there is a lot of talent on the field, something I'm happy to see, no clear cut winner that's lapping the pack in ten laps and winning by an ungodly amount of time.

All I gotta say is go Dean Wilson... The only reason I am cheering for him is some of my younger riding buddies used to bang bars with him when he was coming up in Canada.

I haven't watched supercross in years, however I've recently learned about Endurocross. That is just plain crazy racing and keeps my attention.
