Default Cargo trailors in 6 or 7 feet widths

Im thinking of getting a trailer to haul my dirt bike in or my vic if needed to go somewhere. Let me here your opinions on if you got a f-150 or Silverado 1500 pulling one and is the 7 foot wide one any problems as far as seeing around it when driving ? thx

If it's a box trailer we're discussing, rent one to find out. I think you will find out that an 84" trailer isn't much different than a 96" trailer going down the road. There's a marginal improvement in backing visuals but that improvement is trumped by the loss of mucho storage.

I pull a 28 x 8 wide body box with an Avalanche. It's a bear but it's almost big enough, plus I can park the truck in it.

Never pulled with a f150 or a silverado but I've pulled a 7' with a ram 1500 and a 6.5' with a volvo xc60. With the ram and 7' the standard mirrors were ok but I ended up with power extending tow mirrors anyway because the trailer was 16' long and the extra length made seeing all the way 'round difficult. The 6.5 is 12' and pulling that with my volvo was no problem. There were occaisionally times I would have liked wider mirrors but for the most part I had no issues. Pulling that same 6.5' with a sprinter van is cake, TONS of visibility with the factory mirrors that don't extend but do have the convex bottom glass.

I've got a 7x12 pulled by a Silverado. Just did the 8hr trip down and back to Myrtle Beach with it two weeks ago. I could see vehicles behind me with the standard mirrors, but you don't get a full view of them specially if there close to the trailer. You can usually only see the about 1-2ft of each side of the vehicle directly behind you though.

On a side note we took my brothers Toyota FJ on a 5hr trip with the trailer recently and couldn't see it behind us and could barely see the sides of the trailer. Plus the it was severely under powered and was constantly down shifting being V6 and not geared (65mph @ 3500-4000rpms) for hauling. Where the V8 Silverado was geared for hauling (65mph @ 1750 rpms) and could handle the full load without breaking a sweat.

You might fit 2 bikes.
Single axle with brakes.

When I get done with putting all the stuff in it. Im going to use it to haul my MX bikes to the tracks and also pit in it at the r/c car races that I go to. It will make for a good clean, a/c environment when waiting between rounds. I used it once for my VIC, but I don't plan on going to any long distance meets so usage for the vic will be to a minimum. I like it a lot, its been used every w/e I have had it. I ride some kind of bike every w/e both days. Your trailer looks like a car hauler,, Do you have a big fast toy to put in it ? You have a nice trailer also.

Just bikes. I went a bit bigger so we can take 3-5 bikes comfortably.
