at Indy. Anyone heard if the series is to continue there ? I missed going this year & last. Made it 08-13 and am planning on going back next year if it's there ? I watched it on TV and the stands looked virtually empty.

'08' [first year] was the largest crowd, and it seems it is shrinking each year after. Always thought it was a great M/C racing weekend, with the Indy-Mile being on Sat-night as well.

It's local [120] miles for me, and I would hate to lose it....

It looks like they are coming back to Indy next year as well.

Check it out here: http://www.indianapolis-moto-gp.com/...polis-moto-gp/

I have been to the races each year here in Austin. The MotoGP is quite the show to watch. I had season tickets for NASCAR up in Ft. Worth for 10 years, but grew tired of that. Now, with the Circuit of the Americas track a mere 15 minutes from my house, we will renew our MotoGP tickets each year.

FWIW - the best way to make sure they keep coming back is to buy tickets every year.

OH ! .......so the six years I did go with my best friend & his two sons had no positive effect ? But then missing '14' due to my friends death, and this year due to an injury.....makes it my fault if it does not continue ?......WoW...didn't know I wielded that much power.

WoW! Touchy much?

You mentioned declining crowds, and I didn't think I implied anywhere in my post that YOU were personally responsible.

You're welcome for the link.

BTW, how are / have been the crowds at Texas ? Good I hope. I'd still like to make that one. My friend and I put it on the list...but well, things change.

Texas crowds have been quite large. Even this year, when it rained for two of the three days.

Bikes get to park at the track for free, and right up front at the gates too, not some satellite lot. We get front stretch mezzanine tickets, but roam around the first few days to check out the crowds/exhibits. Then the main race day we'll hang at our seats.

You should definitely make the TX race if you can. It's typically the second weekend of April.

Thanks, I'll put it on the list for next year. Are there motels near by ?

Yeah I know I can look around once there, just thought I'd ask.

The track is sort of outside of town, so not much really nearby.

You'll probably want to stay closer to\in downtown and take cab/uber/etc to the track. That way you can soak of more of Austin in the evenings

For the F1 races they run very convenient shuttle buses from downtown out to the track, but I don't think they do that for MotoGP. I could be mistaken tho.

Good luck - hope you can make it some year.
