I live right off Rt. 66 by a couple of miles so I ride it all the time. Still lots of cool places to see on it.
Seeing those gas station attendants reminded me of my first real job in my late teens. I actually liked that job. Money wasn't great but the people I worked with were and the customers were decent too.
I vividly remember as a kid, admiring the gas attendant with his squirt bottle of window cleaner and shop-rag in his back pocket. I figured that had to be one of the coolest jobs out there, and you got to smell the gasoline all day. Good stuff for a kid
bring back the 50's cheap gas + beautiful cars!! i was there but only a pup, remember some stuff as a teen,nothing but COOL!!!! uncle had a 58 impala ragtop 348 + 3 duces with 3 on the tree, 411 posi. good gas was cheap as it was thirsty!!!
