Thought about putting this in a regional forum, but I was given to many choices and panicked.
lol anyway. Wife and I are heading east up US12 from Grangeville, ID toward Lolo and Missoul and possibly on to Kalispell on 9/11. From there we'll be heading back toward Coeur d'Alene, preferably on the back highways if they're accessible. Anyone up that way or has been that way recently got any advice on the fires and stuff? Air quality? Road conditions? I've still got a week to rearrange the trip if we need to. Thanks fellas.
PS: Checked road reports and fire maps. Just prefer the word of the locals when I can get it.
You can call me Billy. Or Luci. But don't call me Shirley.

Lloyd'z ATS, IAV, VFC-III. Vic "High Performance" air filter. Ness Big Honkers. Funsies.
Lolo / Hwy 12 was closed after the eclipse but may be open now. We have had many days of smoke in Couer D Alene. Fires are burning all over. Don't think there are any burning that will give you problems from Kalispell to CDA. You can take Thompson Pass to CDA. Great ride.. It can change day to day. Or take 2 to Bonners Ferry then to CDA
