I seen the Steel Wheels I think, couldve been voodoo lounge
We went there in a VW Bug , I was in the back seat.
My 2 friends Rod and Justine were in the front and we had a big load of firewood which made the bug rather nose heavy (but thats another story)....
As we didnt have tickets our aim was to jump the fence
But a truck had rolled on the highway on the drive up and there was a huge traffic jam, And Im in the back of a bug thats growing smaller by the minute....
So by the time we got there the show was started, we parked as close as possible in some persons front yard and sized up the fence jumping operation.
Now I had my winos overcoat on, a big woolen coat with lots of pockets, into which I had put a good supply of bottled beer, ( not that I really needed it with the shroom juice I had defrosted and consumed prior to climbing into the back seat of the VW Beetle....
But I was the type of drinker who never ran out of supplies see
Ok so the venue is round,
security is 2x2 walking in opposite directions around the circumference.
I decided to chicken out on fence jumping as the Stones were quite audible and I could see the show on the big screen.
Also I was tripping quite strongly and quite incapable of fencejumping and I had the sense to realise the fact.
So I became lookout
My mates casually got closer to the fence, I was far enough away to observe the pairs of security and as they passed each other they had thier backs to us till the next pairs appeared.
Therein lay the window of opportunity!
At the best time possible I gave the signal and over they went!
Found out later they got right to the front of the stage, while I leaned against a tree watching from outside.
Its only Rock n Roll but I like it....

ok the rains stopped now

They were here last weekend but were sold out. Not like I could afford it. 3 months of wound care just got me a $2900 bill and I hit my cap for the year. So, I decided the Rolling Stones concert was not in the cards.

I never understood devil worshipers. I mean, the guy lost a fiddling contest to a uneducated hillbilly from Georgia for Peteís sake!

Rained for the last half of the show but had the smarts based on the forecast to pick up a couple of cheap ponchos at the Home Despot on the way, so we just kept rockin' and rollin'. When they came back out for the encore, Mick said it was great to be in Philly again and announced "We been comin here for fifty four fukn' years!".

Oh and my 'Can you top this' concert: Jim Morrison and the Doors, Cleveland Auditorium 1970, year before he died.
