Most all 1%ers have a rule on bikes. Must be 1000cc or larger and must be made in America. No body can be patched in unless they own a bike fitting that description. Most won't allow a biker to prospect unless they own a bike fitting that description. While HD is the norm, there are some with Vics and yes, the HA pres owns and rides a Vic.

3 piece patch means the patch on your back consists 3 separate pieces and the bottom piece is called the rocker. Generally clubs that wear 3 piece patches are outlaw gangs.

Also Sonny Barger does own a Vision that Arlen Ness gave him. Not all biker clubs allow members to ride anything other than HD's and Victory (and most likely Indian) are considered metric (assembled with metric fasteners).

I'm a 99%er and cover my face mainly to keep the sun off my skin. Me and sunblock never made friends. Also it keeps the bugs out of my mouth and nose. My favorite are the motley tubes:

- they are easy to pull up/down with one hand, and they never come lose/untied.

Now it's my turn to ask: why do full face helmet riders hide their face?

Please add your bike's year and model to your signature. Here's why.

Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Down here we have "Bandidos MC" and they don't cover their faces or bother anybody, unless you are really looking for trouble, the other thing is that if you want to use or ride with a MC vest with 3 pieces you better ask first and then use it or ride, I have a friend with a club (99%) with vests with 3 patches and they come and go freely but they had to ask first, If you don't ask, when they see you they tell you to take it off first "nicely" and you figure out the rest if you don't

act normal, use common sense and you'll be fine

that includes when you catch up with them on the expressway, you are doing 85/90 mph and they are doing 80, and they are 20 or 30 and you just one, just slow down and let them be, or they slow you down just with the lookings don't ask how I know

There are plenty 1 piece and 2 piece MCs out there and some 3 piece Mcs as well that are not 1%. Depending on where you live, you'd be asking for trouble putting on a 3 piece MC cut. We have the Outlaws and Bandidos chapters here. HA and I'm sure others are around from time to time given we have the 3rd largest rally in the US and for some reason, bikers like to frequent Eureka Springs.

I was with a 1 piece RC for a while when about 20 of us gathered for a ride and met at a local BBQ joint. Outlaws rode by looking and a couple days later our Pres got a call from the Outlaws Pres giving us our "1 and only warning" to stay away from their turf. Our RC Pres disbanded the club. That is not normal, they don't usually bother 1 or 2 piece clubs because it's viewed as picking on little guys. Those in our Arkansas chapter decided we'd form our own club and we went 3 piece MC (not 1%). Point is, you really shouldn't worry about a rag over your face. Picking fights with others is frowned upon because it draws attention to the club. That doesn't stop a patched individual from doing it but he'd likely face discipline within his club for it.

Check out http://www.rcvsmc.net/ for everything you want/should know about MC's and RC's including what you should and should not wear.

A lot of people feel they can wear whatever they want to wear including a three piece patch, SOA seems to be a popular one these days. However, 1%r's go through a lot to earn their patch. They feel the same way about their colors that a Veteran feels about Old Glory. They don't call them outlaws for nothing either so if they feel you disrespected them they will respond in kind.
