Default Back from vacation

It started on the 28th of September with an Operation Sandbox ride at which I met Shanex. The following morning I set out for MA, stopping at Hazelton PA for the night. Got into town Monday and visited sister, brother, daughter and grand kids, then the other brother, then off to a cottage on Cape Cod.
I spent the week visiting and sight seeing. Girlfriend flew into Logan Friday around noon. We strapped her luggage on the bike and headed for Raynham, MA for my brother's wedding rehearsal and dinner. It rained so hard I had to stop for lack of vision, and my GPS crapped out. Something got wet and she posted a code and turned on the engine light.
Saturday was the wedding, reception, and post reception party. Sunday it was back to the cottage for two nights before departing for GA via Skyline Dr and BRP. We got drowned in NJ while sitting in a major traffic jam for about 2 hours. We got wet even with the rain gear on and spent the night in Hagerstown, MD.
Tuesday we were disappointed to arrive at Skyline Dr to find the idiot Obama had locked the gates. Apparently the shutdown prevented him from paying the asphalt, so it has to be closed. We decided to bolt for GA and made it home around 9 PM.
Wednesday we rested. Thursday we were off on a casual ride to Waynesville, NC. Leaving Waynesville Friday morning we took NC 36x for about 30 miles to pick up the BRP into Cherokee, then on to the Two Wheel Inn in Robbinsville, NC. Saturday we rode the Dragon and came back via the Cherohala Skyway, then did Moonshiner 28. We almost did Wayah Rd but there was too much loose gravel from patches.
Sunday we did the Cherohala again and continued to 411, then south to home, then the girlfriends house South of Atlanta. I came home this morning. The 17 day adventure put 4,300 miles on my XCT. Back to work tomorrow.

Thanks. Sorry we could link up, but it was a very busy vacation. I'll be up there again next spring or summer.
