Default Shipping windshield?

Have any of you shipped a windshield? What's the best way to protect it?

A member here wrapped mine in foam, taped it and put it in a strong shipping box that was probably a half inch larger than the shield. They do flex a bit which is a good thing while shipping i suppose....

Mine arrived without a scratch!

I "bubble wrapped" the hell out of the one I sold and shipped it off. Stuff works GREAT and is pretty cheap

I bought a used windshield from a member on another forum. He used a good box, as mentioned a little bigger than the windshield. He also got some of the bubble-wrap that has the big (like about 1") bubbles and packed both sides of the windshield with that. I received it in flawless condition with no issue. As someone who has worked with LTL freight I will suggest that you mark ALL sides of the box with "Fragile-TOP LOAD ONLY" in big noticable letters. When freight gets transferred on loading docks things move fast and get a little hectic so make it very obvious for caution.
