Default Question for the Snake charmers

RNickeyMouse just posted a video showing two low sides on the Snake.

Is that corner pretty torn up right now? It doesn't look bad and you can't see it in the normal speed shots. But watching the slo-mo portion of the video it looks like the front end is bouncing pretty bad for both riders in the same spot.

Those loud pipes saved that second fool's life.

That corner is notorious for moto wrecks. There must be 100 utube videos of them right there.

It's the change in Tarmac- as soon as they run over the new darker Tarmac, which is either slippery or not as even, it unsettles their bikes, and their rear tire breaks traction. You can see their rear tire start to wobble after they pass over it.

Oh I know, I subscribe to rnickeymouse's YouTube page and I want to hit Mulholland Drive if/when I make it back out to CA. Most of the crashes I've seen though were rider induced. These just seemed to be road induced.

Thanks. I was trying to figure out if it was the front or back end that got out of sorts first. Since both wheels seemed to handle the patch ok while they were on it I thought it was the road surface after. Even in HD you can only see so much. I thought since a lot of bikes and cars hit that spot pretty hard the road surface might be starting to ripple like it does at a stop light in areas with heavy trucks traffic.

After I replied to your thread I watched a lot more of the Youtube videos by RNickeyMouse- some incredibly scary stuff. Those 2 cyclists that get cleaned up from behind by a biker- like, who in their insane mind would ride a push bike there given the speed demons that go flying through there? Even though it wasnt the cyclists fault, they are idiots to even contemplate riding through there, and lucky to be alive.

Also interesting to see the popularity of R1's on the videos- not sure if that has any real significance. But watching those guys touching their elbows while going around is pretty special
