Default Maybe a better helmet?

http://www.highsnobiety.com/2014/07/...rcycle-helmet/

Personally I want a helmet that is much thinner and lighter. Perhaps something that uses a better liner material like what D30 armor uses. Something that has less inertia when you are flying through the air and generates fewer aero dynamical forces when you are riding. Something much closer to not having a helmet on your head,
but with the protection of the present Styrofoam coolers most of us wear.

In the mean time this thing looks way cool.
I'm guessing I can't afford it.

I am honestly surprised that it has taken this long for someone to make a helmet like this. Ever since I drove a Z06 Vette with the Heads up display 10 years ago I've always thought that type of information would be cool in a motorcycle helmet.

I would think it would be cool to have one that works with the bike though. A helmet that give info like speed, gear, and rpm would be really cool as well.

Great idea.
I think they are a startup and you might fill out the beta tester form then put your thoughts down for what a helmet should be.
It's got a box for input.
They say they are looking for ideas for products.
Never know. You might spark some great idea for features. If they come out with a product that everyone wants, others will come clamoring for a piece of the pie. You might end up with what you want at a price we can all afford.
Never know, stranger things have happened. Like the Iphone

Im interested in the rear view camera, but I think it would be distracting from what's in front of me. All the other doo dads seem cool. I applied to beta test it for them, they never got back to me.

What fer? Ya got no rearview mirrors?

I have a GPS/XM mounted to my handlebars and I get my directions and music piped under my lid and directly into my ears via noise muffling ear buds. I'd like it better if the system was Bluetooth vs wire, but it ain't that big a deal.

But I really like being able to choose a helmet that fits, is quiet, and comfortable. I don't want a crap helmet with a lot of gizmos. As long as I got a rough idea how to get where I want to be and something to hum along to, I'm good.

I always beware of combo items. They simplify things and reduce the number of gadgets we have to carry. and... Maybe i'm looking at this wrong way, but if you wipe out and smack your melon on the asphalt and split your you helmet, does that mean you could be lost (with no Gps), stranded (with no phone to call for help), and bored with no music to listen to while you wait for someone to drive by? Just you and your thoughts about the 7 years bad luck from the broken rear view mirror.. till help arrives.
