Default getting ready for a nice long ride!!

We are finally going to get away for a ong weekend on the bike and head south! May do the dragon and I want to hit the parkway dow by gatlinburg and ride around till it gets to hot for me. Going to be in the 90s this weekend and thats not my favorite riding weather! Hopefully we will have a good time and see some victory riders out there!

How many miles per day do you plan? If anyone reading this has a comment I am contemplating a trip as well and wonder how far you all drive per day on the VV. As far as comfort, I think we could go a long time. Just stop in between for fuel and food.

Enjoy the trip.

700 is easy on the big roads, on the two lanes I would do about 500 for a easy fun day.

Well to be honest it took us around 9 hrs to get here because we spent 2 hrs on 40 I think it was and went a little over 2 miles in 95 degree heat! Then we finally got to the cabin and after I asked for a biker friendly one! As we were pulling very slowly the front tire hit a hole in the dirt and gravel drive way and stopped the bike but not us! So after crashing the bike in the drive and getting some help we parked it or the night to get a hotel in the morning! I got the blood cleaned up and was just sore but she fractured a vertebra. We didn't ride all weekend because we were sore. The trip home I could do about a half a tank of fuel at a time before I had to stop and get off. The bike is ok but man the seat kills my butt! The trip back was about 6.5 hrs I would guess.
