Default Led lights on trunk

Added 2 24" LED light strips to the trunk. Tapped into the trunk tail light power. Will add pics soon. Came out great for DIY.

A few years back I added a strip that has red in the center and amber on both ends. Wires up for turn signals, running and brake lights. I think it was 100 LED's.

I'd like to hear more about how you did this. And pics would be very helpful.

Well I wish I could post some pictures of an LED mod I did. But I'll tell ya about it. I bought some really bright LED'S off the internet, I think they where 100,000 mcf, I drilled 4 holes in my trunk lights. And I had to buy two risestors, 10 ohm and 5 watt. This reduces the 12volts down to about 3.6 volts that are required to lights the LEDS without burning them out. I put them in parallel, all the long stems ( - ) on one side, short stem ( + ) on the other, soldered them together all the -'s on one wire , all the + 's one the other wire , ran the two wire from each side inside the upper trunk lid, down on the right side of the trunk, past the right speaker and under the seat. I then tapped into the wiring plug that has the turn lights ( don't remember the wire colors) used double sided tape on the risestors (one per side ) to the new trunk wires. The group I ride with tell me that they really show up in the day time and even brighter looking at night. I hope the that Victory will some day do this on all trunk packs, its a safety issue at least. Sorry about the long post ,I will try soon to get some pictures of it,need to get the headlight back together . Thats a real mightmare to do ,at least for me.
