Default Lower wind deflector uneven installation

I finally ordered the lower wind deflectors and after several hours of screwing around with the completely worthless templates, I can see the wind deflectors are not even. One side is about 1/2 inch high and more forward that the other. Is this just the way it is?

Has anyone removed the mounts to re-position them immediately after install? I have no idea how hard that is going to be. I guess if I'm going to re-position them, I'd better do it now, or I may have uneven paint from sun bleaching....

It's not so bad with the clear plexiglass ones, but it's my intention to "accidentally" break them in the near future so I can order CycleOps billet ones, but I think the black lowers will look much more obviously uneven....
