Default starter

Took my 2011 vision 8 ball to the stealer and they want to replace my starter because its putting a drain on a new battery, has anybody heard of this. and how hard is it to get to the starter. I don't remember seeing it a few weeks ago when I tore the whole front end apart. I would like to do it myself but don't know where its at , can anybody shed some light on this ? Thanks in advance Gentleman really appreciate it.

if you turn the key on and look at volt meter that will tell you battery volts and it should be 12v and when you push the button the volts should really not drop. If it goes way down below 11v then yes starter could be bad.
The starter might need brushes and there less then $12 bucks. An auto electrical shop can rebuild it cheaper then a dealer
