Default question on piece removal

I have a 2001 vision and I am trying to remove the plastic piece that houses the radio and the switches for the heaters.

i know you have to remove the plastic pieces in front of the seat to remove the bolts there, but can't figure out how to remove it from up by the fairing.

Thanks in advanced.

remove the chrome gage bezel cover. A table knife prying on one side will pop it loose. There you will find two 6mm allens.

Open glove box door and there is a small screw in there to remove.

Now remove the ones at the rear.

Dash should come up now for you to pull wire

Do you pull from the top or bottom first. When i pull on it feels like it is going to break. Do you have any pics.

Start on a side and work your way in until it raises a 1/2" or so. Then go to the other side and do the same. Once you have it up enough to get your fingers under it, gently pull it straight out. It is tougher than it looks.

ATGATT because walking away in disgust is better than riding away in an ambulance.
