Victory Vision - Custom audio installations
Well the ink isnt dry on my paperwork yet but i'm already making my mod list! First order of business for me is to toss out this wimpy audio system and get this thing sounding as good as it rides. I am curious if anyone else has done any extensive audio modifications to their Visions, or if they know of threads/pics for ones who have.
So far I have found a few guys that have replaced their speakers with upgraded ones, but i am looking to get a little more aggressive with it. I plan on running an ipad mini for a source/nav unit and am trying to figure out the most ideal mounting for it as we speak.
Ultimately I would like to do some custom work with the speakers, am thinking custom pods on the fairing to hold some nice JL 6'5 components, and a small removable enclosure that will tuck into to right side saddlebag with a single subwoofer.
Main questions I had, was what is the capacity of the stock charging system on these bikes? I am probably looking at running 2 amps, a 2 channel for the mids/highs and a mono for the sub and didnt want to get into voltage problems by putting too large of a draw on the stock setup.
Second question was respect to amps. I see systems like HogWired, but they seem kind of overpriced, especially compared to some of the mini amps that Rockford Fosgate makes. I was curious if anyone can reccomend some amplifiers to use. Thanks for the help!
